Ok, so when I found this article it was originally aimed at fantasy writers. I know not all of us write fantasy (I know I don't) but I think the premise is the same, cliches shouldn't be over done. Now that we've spent months cranking out word count I think it's a good time to look at *what* we've been writing. I do this every few weeks when I go over my work to post it and end up cutting hundreds of unnecessary words and phrases.
